DECEMBER 2021

The Light Touches Everything had a reading at Theatre Unmasked. A trip to the Northern Lights illuminates personal truths for two close friends in this sweet script by Allie Costa.

NOVEMBER 2021

Power Pose was selected for the Faces of America Monologue Festival, produced by The PlayGround Experiment, and subsequently published. Power Pose was written by Allie Costa, directed by Darpan Joshi, and performed by Diana Cherkas.

Two Girls was selected for the Half Hour Audio Hour. In this haunting and poetic duologue, two women emerge from a violent attack. Two Girls was written by Allie Costa, directed by Stephanie Murphy, featuring Bek Szilagyi and Michaela Childress.

Safe Distance was shared at Virtual Community Theatre. The story takes place late one night on the London Underground. Written by Allie Costa, featuring Brigid Pfeifer and Daniel Oros, directed by Eric Luvisotto.

OCTOBER 2021

• Allie played Diana in the film Karagatan, which is now in post-production.

• Allie played the newscaster in the film Outside, which is now in post-production.

Wayward is now an immersive audio experience. In this witchy comedy inspired by the Scottish play, three weird sisters try to prepare the perfect prophecy for their demanding boss. Written and directed by Allie Costa, featuring Maiya Reaves, Brynne Piesco, Jetta Juriansz, and Tiffany Cornwell, with sound design and sound editing by India Stachyra, produced by Soundscape Theater. Rise Up was selected for PlayGround-LA and had a staged reading at The Broadwater in Hollywood. A young woman impulsively goes on a retreat - but it's not exactly what she had in mind. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Rachel Berney Needleman, featuring Julia Belanova and Melissa Ortiz.

Wrong was shared at Virtual Community Theatre. In this lighthearted comedy, a couple celebrates their individual and collective flaws. Written by Allie Costa, featuring Kat Binney and Shayne McCatty, directed by Eric Luvisotto.

SEPTEMBER 2021

• Allie booked the role of Diana in the film Karagatan.

Cut and Run had its Midwest premiere at Eden Prairie Players in Minnesota. In this hair salon, it's live and let dye. This heartwarming dramedy was written by Allie Costa, directed by Tinka, featuring Andie Moore and Beth Adams.

This Used to Be My Playground had its world premiere at the Perfect 10s Festival in Pennsylvania. In this silly schoolyard comedy, someone's taken the fun out of recess. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Andrea Hart, featuring Jay Miller, Morgan Rivard, Lily McCord, Quentin Hart, and Austen Kennedy, produced by 1st Street Players.

Suzy's Summer was also selected for Perfect 10s. Analis Acosta performed this heartbreaking piece written by Allie Costa and directed by Andrea Hart.

How I Knew Her was shared at Virtual Community Theatre. When two strangers cross paths in a graveyard, they discover they are mourning the same person. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Eric Luvisotto, featuring Tara Kennedy and Peter Anderson.

Don't Shoot The Messenger Pigeon was performed at Virtual Community Theatre. A mafia messenger in a career crisis meets his match in this offbeat comedy. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Eric Luvisotto, featuring Khari Chayé and Matt Leyendecker.

Coffee and Cocoa was selected for Housebound, a series produced by Mind the Gap Theatre. Coffee and Cocoa was written by Allie Costa and performed by Nessa Amherst.

AUGUST 2021

Mermaid Story had its world premiere at the Happily Ever After Film Festival. This coming-of-age short film was written, directed, and performed by Allie Costa.

Classified: Just Between Sisters was selected for Housebound, a series produced by Mind the Gap Theatre. Classified was written by Allie Costa and performed by Heather Burgess.

Personal Space had a reading at Theatre Unmasked. A woman rubs her new co-worker the wrong way in this workplace comedy.

JULY 2021

• Allie plays the lead role in the animated film A Good Boy. After matching on a dating app, Aly is excited to meet James - but he isn't exactly what she expected. There's more to puppy love than meets the eye in this sweet, feel-good film from Kacey Layson. Stream A Good Boy now!

Clean Slate is now streaming. When given the chance, a woman seeks forgiveness from her sister. But is that even possible? Written and directed by Allie Costa, featuring Harper Lee, Heather Mall, and Jaya Ananda, produced by This Moment Productions.

• Allie shared The Truth is Out There, her comedic tribute to The X-Files, at the Virtual Fringe Cabaret. Check it out!

My Big Fat Blonde Musical was up for consideration for the Emmys. Allie plays Allegra, a bubbly barista, on this comedy series.

• Allie sang Love Will Come and Find Me Again from the musical Bandstand in the livestreamed Without You cabaret produced by Theatre Unmasked.

Drop in the Ocean was performed at the Summer School for the Performing Arts. On a drying-up shoreline, a down-to-earth botanist encounters a vibrant climatologist and realizes there's still hope for the world. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Kyla Blocker.

• March of the Bandits from last year's virtual version of Gideon and the Blundersnorp was also part of the Virtual Fringe Cabaret. Allie played Spike, the perkiest bandit you ever did see.

Obscura was performed at the Summer School for the Performing Arts. Three siblings struggling with changes in their family realize it's always darkest just before the dawn. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Kyla Blocker.

Boxes Are Magic was performed at Interlochen Arts Camp. This comedy by Allie Costa pits two characters (one human, one feline) against the forces of nature.

My Big Fat Blonde Musical soundtrack is now available! Allie can be heard on multiple songs as her character, Allegra.

Dear Neighbor was shared at Virtual Community Theatre. The residents of Apartment 1A and Apartment 2B share their internal monologues with the audience as they encounter different tenants in their apartment building. Written by Allie Costa, featuring Tay "Theory" Cooper and Nick Wilbur, directed by Eric Luvisotto.

JUNE 2021

Boxes Are Magic had a reading at Occidental Center for the Arts. This comedy about a woman, a cat, and the forces of nature was written by Allie Costa and performed by Kathleen Hardy and Noel Yates.

A Novel Idea was part of the Atlantic Acting School NYU 2 One-Act Festival. After months of idly talking about making a book club, four crafty coworkers finally buckle down and create one. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Claire Smith, featuring Doyin-Sola Ajijola, Sia Kim, Jonathan Moran, and Ashika Shah.

In the Heist was part of the BCA One-Act Festival. This imaginative bank heist was written by Allie Costa, directed by Jordan Lavalle and Victoria Blas, stage managed by Eliya Rostolde, featuring Enya Goonetilleke, Jack Haji, Eve Cohen, and Veronica Baladi.

After the Fact had a reading at Theatre Unmasked. In this script inspired by real events, a young woman fights to get her great-grandmother's work recognized. Written by Allie Costa.

MAY 2021

Public Domain had an acclaimed run in the West End. Allie is featured in this innovative new show described as a musical Black Mirror about The Social Dilemma. Watch the clip Rise and Conquer. Public Domain was written by Forristal & Clarke.

• Allie plays Miss Gardwell, a lively and curious dog owner, in the latest episode of The Kit Bull Story podcast.

The One They Kept was also produced at the Atlantic Acting School Festival. This unusual job interview proves that the truth shouldn't be redacted. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Caitlin Sullivan, featuring Doron Malka and Ian Aric.

Alice in Quarantine was published. Allie contributed multiple scenes to this customizable play inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Written by Allie Costa, directed by Bonnie Zellerbach, featuring Mary Anne Cree, Sneha Susan Jacob, Hannah Davis, and Mariska White. Allie also wrote and performed the theme song.

She Has Seen the Wolf was part of Ouachita Baptist University's One Act Play Festival. In this realistic modern-day take on Little Red Riding Hood, a woman asserts herself after receiving unwanted attention from a stranger. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Hannah Anderson, featuring Hayley Johnson, Aaron Whitten, and Nicolas Hazlett.

Wayward had a reading at Play Club West's SWAN Day. In this witchy comedy inspired by the Scottish play, three weird sisters try to write the perfect prophecy for their demanding boss. Written by Allie Costa, directed by Max Herzfeld, featuring Eva Mahgrefteh, Emily Donn, Dorothy Grace Laity Lombardi, and Sarah Hunter, with Athena Louise Hyacinth providing stage directions.

• Allie's script Yes, And... was a semi-finalist in the inaugural JL Smith New Play Festival.

Seven and We Can Be Heroes were both part of Gi60 Houston.

MARCH 2021

• Allie plays Allegra, a bubbly barista, on the new series My Big Fat Blonde Musical. This energetic body positive show is sure to please fans of Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Future Shock was shared at the Get Loud Festival. Written, directed, and performed by Allie Costa, the film follows a woman who goes back in time to give herself the heads up about an event that rocked the world. Watch Future Shock now!

• Allie performed an excerpt of Private Citizen for the Get Loud Festival curated by Project La Femme.

FEBRUARY 2021

You Me & Her aired on TV throughout February. Allie plays the younger version of the lead in this award-winning sci-fi comedy. When thirty versions of one person are zapped through the wormhole at the US Department of Parallel Resettlement, an unhappy girl finds out she is the worst possible version of herself, inspiring her to change her ways at the expense of destroying the universe. You Me & Her is also available on Amazon.

Doorstep Dances was released. Allie choreographed and performed her own piece, entitled Precipice. The project raised funds for Broadway Cares/Dancers Responding to AIDS.

• Allie plays a sweet little puppy named Chanel on the new podcast The Kit Bull Story.

• Allie has a cameo in the documentary #StandBy.

• Allie gave a livestreamed talk called The Write Stuff filled with tips on how to create memorable characters, expand your premise, and think outside the box, with additional considerations for short plays/scripts. The event was hosted by Theatre Unmasked.
